I had an hour to kill between finishing up some pop-in marketing and picking up my dog from the doggie dentist. Yes, that’s a thing and after losing my Jax last month I’m hyper sensitive to be sure this pup stays healthy for a long, long time.
I decided to stop in at a local pizza joint* for a bite to eat and a shot of caffeine in the form of a Diet Coke. Guess who had an email request for general notary services from an Attorney in my area of DFW? ME! One of my goals for 2019 is to infiltrate the local attorney market with my mobile services as another revenue stream.
Back in December a local attorney contacted me about notarizing some documents in his office for his clients. He found me by using Google (I ❤️ Google). I showed up early, was professionally dressed, pleasant to his clients (but not intrusive), and did my job notarizing the documents. He complimented my service and said he’d pass my name along if he ever had colleagues that needed a mobile notary.
I got the referral email requesting my mobile notary services today. What a fantastic way to spend my lunch hour - invoicing a new client!
Word of mouth advertising works, and if you do your job well it will work for you!
