#BeSeen2020
I can't believe it's been October since I last wrote in this blog. That's a true testament to how busy life has been. Ready-ing my new subscription service (www.SigningAgentMarketing.com) has been a Herculean effort, but so completely gratifying. I told myself at the beginning of 2019 that I would blog at least once a week here on my Neitzel Notary site, but as you know what they say - resolutions are hard to keep!
Lately I've been reading an amazing book (which I won't disclose here because it could be construed as a political bias on my part, and I do not talk political affiliations publicly) that has really spoken to me about self-confidence. In my business, I have to have it. A lot of it. I need to be able to walk into a title office or a networking event without knowing a soul and introduce myself to strangers. It's so intimidating. Of course, the more you do it the better you become at it, but that initial pang of fear never goes completely away. No one believes this now, but at my core I am actually quite shy and would rather just run the other way than inject myself into a conversation at a business function.
How do you teach confidence? Is it repetition? Mind-set? Self-love? Is it possible to actually not care what other people think? Is there some special book you can read or formula to memorize that will give you the confidence you need to thrive in business? This question has been really tugging at my brain lately. How do you teach someone to be confident?
My goal for the upcoming year is to #BeSeen2020. This is a calling for everyone in the Signing Agent Marketing community to get out there and grow their respective businesses. Go to more networking events, luncheons, cold-call on title companies and generally establish yourself as the expert Signing Agent in your area. I am not intimidated to have my ideas utilized by other Loan Signing Agents in my area. In fact, I encourage it on www.SigningAgentMarketing.com. I have faith in my relationships, and want only the best for my title partners even if it means not using me as a mobile notary.
I'm no different than anyone of you reading this blog. I'm not special, but I am very motivated to find out how to teach you to be more confident in running your businesses. To help you #BeSeen2020. So, let me hear from you.
